Experience:
Ms. Corbett is an accomplished financial executive, having spent most of her career in CFO and Vice President roles in the commercial construction and real estate development industries in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. In addition, she has experience in the IT and government contracting industries, working as the CFO for a U.S. subsidiary of an international manufacturer and supplier to the federal government. She has extensive experience in the management and restructuring of corporate finance, treasury management, and administration functions. Her areas of expertise include financial reporting and analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, investments, corporate insurance, retirement plans, and accounting system evaluations & software conversions.
In addition to managing Downey & Scott’s corporate finance, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management functions, Ms. Corbett is the liaison between the company and its financial institutions, credit facilities, insurance companies, taxing authorities, and benefits administrators. She also serves in a financial advisory capacity to a local non-profit educational institution. Ms. Corbett’s knowledge, expertise, and professional ethics are well respected in the industry and the community and have made her a vital part of Downey & Scott’s management team.
