Brief Description:

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) is an art museum in Richmond, Virginia, opened in 1936.  The museum is owned and operated by the Commonwealth of Virginia. 

Since 2011, Downey & Scott has been a cost and value engineering team member for an architectural/engineering term contract with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. The most recent project included a cost comparison study for two different floor plan configurations for the basement workshop, where the museum creates its own in-house displays. The report also included new woodworking shop equipment.
