Downey & Scott, LLC provided full Construction Management Services for this 13,193 sq. ft. multi-ministry facility with associated site improvements. The new building provided additional space to minister to the needs of the church community as well as the music ministry program, pre-school, Sunday school, nursery, fellowship, kitchen, and sanctuary.
Pre-construction services included a feasibility study, selection of architect, design engineers and general contractor, design coordination, constructability reviews, construction budgets, utility coordination and permitting. Additional tasks included presentations to the Church’s Facilities Planning Committee and the Board of Elder’s. Our Project Managers coordinated progress meetings, emails, photographs, RFIs, submittals, drawings, change orders, pay applications and the budget with all stakeholders.
Construction/Project Management oversite involved preparing and updating master project schedule, coordinating communication between stakeholders, assisting in project budget preparation, coordinating utilities, leading progress meetings, reviewing design documents, process plan review submission applications and fees, assisting in obtaining permits and bonds, proposed change order review and negotiation, change orders and pay aps, and onsite project management and inspection services.
