Downey & Scott, LLC provided Construction Management Services and Enhanced Commissioning for the City of Fredericksburg on their Fredericksburg Regional Transit Fleet Maintenance and Operations Facility.
Our services included assisting the City in preparing the scope of work, writing the RFP and contract, pre-qualifying designers and contractors, reference checks, minute meetings, scheduling, pre-proposal meetings, on sight management/documentation, and overall program/project management during construction and closeout.
Project scope included the replacement of two (2) steel buildings, construction of new bus fleet parking canopies, and all associated site development of approximately 4.5 acres. Project budget was $4,200,000. Construction concluded in the fall of 2013. The project was completed under budget with no claims.
