I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the tremendous effort you and the entire D&S team made in support of our new church building project. I thought the dedication service on the 19th was a fitting celebration for the church and all construction partners involved.
Of the many decisions Greenwich made along the way; I am convinced none was more important than the decision to secure a construction manager. Your team calmly and professionally guided us through the lengthy permitting and approval process with the county. We had heard many stories of how difficult this process can be, but the thorough preparation and follow-up of your team made it a “piece of cake.”
When it came time for the vertical construction, we had great confidence interacting with the GC and architect, knowing we were well represented by D&S. I came to enjoy our bi-monthly progress meetings as I would listen to you problem-solve in real-time. What impressed me most was your unbelievable comprehension of methods, materials, vendors, and the ever-delicate “human factor” in addressing the multitude of issues during the course of the project. We have also appreciated your demonstrated understanding of the mechanical systems involved in our project. On more than one occasion, the Greenwich team looked at each other and said, “these guys are in the right business!”
I would be remiss if I didn’t also thank you for the D&S team’s constant attention to the details and the dynamics of our budget. For some of our folks, that was the only thing that mattered! We loved the Owner Insite software tool, which enabled our Building Finance folks to stay informed 24/7.
As I shared with you at our celebration, I can’t imagine the project going any better – and I attribute so much of our success to the great work of Downey & Scott!
