Potomac Station is a 15 acre multi-phased mixed use development. Downey & Scott performed Construction Management Services for owner, Clark Reality Capitol, on a commercial site pad layout project with heavy civil involvement.
Our Project Managers made daily site visits to monitor, coordinate and report; while ensuring all parties fulfilled their contractual obligations. As Construction Managers we are tasked with keeping the project on-time and on-budget while maintaining the highest quality of workmanship. Our various pre-construction services included such items as writing the site development contract documents and hiring the site contractor.
During the construction-phase of the project we oversaw the development of the four (4) acre site which included clearing and grubbing, rock blasting, earthwork cut to fill, storm/sanitary/water utility installation, concrete curb, asphalt pavement, and certification of the building pad.
We provided onsite supervision of the site contractor, assisted in resolving issues with the local government, continually updated the owner on the current project status, and hired subcontractors for work outside the scope of the site contractor.
