We are currently seeking a Field Engineer with a background in public sector / commercial construction management, engineering or architecture: 

Construction Field Engineer – Onsite Owner’s Representative              

Full Time position with an established Construction Management firm. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team of professionals in delivering critical construction support services for our clients.

Working as a member of a larger project team, this position will report directly to Senior Project Managers.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in public sector / commercial construction management, engineering or architecture with the following:

  • Experience - 5 or more year’s construction field experience on large scale building projects  
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and enforce contract documents
  • Excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, quality control and demonstrated organizational skills
  • Participate in construction progress meetings, perform onsite observations and reporting documentation
  • Ability to think strategically, plan, problem solve and collaborate with Senior project team members
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Microsoft Project and Excel with the ability to learn new software
  • Desire for continual career growth and advancement opportunities in a dynamic organization
  • Must pass a background check and have a clean driving record, a company vehicle and mobile IT support equipment is provided with this position

 Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Perform project cloud based record keeping, observation reports and related documentation
  • Prepare detailed onsite observation reports and work closely with Senior Project Managers
  • Prepare documents and assist in periodic client updates and progress reports
  • Perform quality control onsite
  • Analyze and interpret contract documents
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Participate in continuous professional development programs and continued education
