Chantilly Bible Church resides on a 17 acre plot located in Chantilly, Virginia that was once a sod farm. In 2002, they completed phase 1 of their building program and moved from there prior location in Herndon. Phase 1 was a 23,000 GSF multi-purpose gymnasium/worship area that seats 500, classrooms, meeting space, kitchen and offices.
Downey & Scott performed cost estimating and life cycle cost analysis on phase 2, which consisted of additional classrooms that are being added to the local worship center's elementary school program. The design utilizes a hybrid framing system that combines traditional wood framing with pre-engineered steel wall and roof support structure. This project also includes multiple site improvements.
