Letter of Recommendation:

To Whom It May Concern,

It is with great pleasure that I submit this letter of recommendation on your behalf.  Over the past two years, Downey and Scott, LLC has been such a reliable resource in quantitative information as well as subjective information, it is almost impossible to convey in a short letter.

From early discussions with you and your team, even before a proposal or agreement was signed, we knew we had found a firm that held the same aspirations for excellence as our own firm.  Your expertise in the regional and national markets, your genuine attention to our questions, and seemingly exhaustive research allow me to believe that your dedication and commitment to us also extends to the varying projects and, ultimately, to our clients.

The George Mason performing arts project and the Shepherd University visual and performing arts project are two similar building types, but in many ways, are extraordinarily dissimilar in their program and design approach.  Downey & Scott, LLC was able to distinguish between the two very different sites, extrapolate the nuances between the multiple, complex building systems, and develop over the course of several iterations a complete, up-to-date, and on-time deliverable for each project.  Cost estimation is only one of several services that were provided during the design process.  Invaluable commentary on appropriate systems, significant value engineering recommendations, and an overall, genuine understanding and conveyance of material and market trends that allowed Holzman Moss Architecture to work through the phases of the projects with confidence and essentially allowed us to create wonderful works of art!

I trust this information isn’t too much over the top, but when it comes to praising one of our best consultants, I feel there is no reason to hold back.

Best Regards,

Steve Benesh
